Volunteer Revolution

Each year, over 300 volunteers travel across oceans to lend their hearts and hands to Calcutta’s poor.

Their combined talents and resources annually light up the lives of children in Calcutta Mercy Hospital, encourage impoverished families seeking a daily meal, and share in the stories of primary school students. Recently volunteers have gone so far as to spearhead wide-scale building and renovation projects, fundraise for the lifesaving treatments of children with heart defects, host hands-on art seminars for disadvantaged children, and initiate development projects in unreached villages.

Now, volunteers have the opportunity to make a big difference in the lives of disadvantaged children through Project Rhino, a new online education platform that delivers free, quality primary school education to children who would otherwise forgo an education due to their impoverished circumstances. Consider joining the unparalleled legacy of Calcutta Mercy Ministries' volunteers who have been transforming Calcutta since 1954 by introducing Project Rhino to the boys and girls of India.
